*Tests on the economic value of the variety ware carried out in 2015 and 2016 in Plunge, Kaunas, Pasvalys and Utena plant resting departments.

**In fungicide-free field trials for disease resistance, in 2015-2016, there were very few plants affected by powdery mildew (Erisyphe graminis), the resistance was rated 8-9 points. Plants were injured by Helminthosporium graminea, Helminthosporium teres and Helminthosporium sativum. The resistance of barley 'Katniss' to these diseases was evaluated from 6 to 9 points (with 9 points - very good resistance).
