Tillage radish MINO EARLY

Raphanus sativus var. longipinnatus L.

An early tillage radish with an extremely long root, suitable for zero-tillage farming

  • The tapered root is long (45-60 cm) and up to 6 cm in diameter
  • Soil loosening and aeration
  • High biomass yield
  • Accumulation of nutrients from deeper soil layers
  • Weed suppression

The tapered root is long (45-60 cm) and up to 6 cm in diameter, white, tender and crisp with a mild pungency.

It has good heat tolerance. Radishes grow best in cool, moist weather (10-18 °C).  Mino Early likes well-drained loamy, clay and sandy soil with a pH of 5.5-6.8 - it grows best in slightly acidic soil. Approximately 40-50 days to maturity. Maturity, adaptability and disease tolerance may differ under specific climate and/or growing conditions.

The varietal parameters may differ from those indicated here when the testing circumstances differ from quondam

Recommended sowing rate: 6-8 kg/ha.

For late sowing period or if there is a poor dispersion or high proportion of organic material/straw after harvest, the seed rate should be increased up to 18 kg/ha.

It is recommended to sow in mid-August, since sown earlier (until mid-July) will not produce large roots (plants will start flowering).
