White sweet clover MEBA
An annual white sweet clover used as a forage crop, for improvement of non-fertile soils and as a good green-manure plant
- Annual form which blooms and produces seed in the year of establishment
- Valued by beekeepers
- Forage contains aromatic coumarin and cattle must get accustomed to it
- Freshly harvested young plants or silage are used as feed
- Grown in monoculture or in mixtures with others leguminous plants and grasses
The varietal parameters may differ from those indicated here when the testing circumstances differ from quondam
Recommended sowing rate: 20-30 kg/ha. When growing as an under sowing crop, the seed rate should be increased to 30 kg/ha
Recommended sowing rate when growing for green manure: 25-35 kg/ha kg/ha
